This visa is for invited workers and New Zealand citizens with skills we need, to live and work permanently anywhere in Australia.
BASIC ELIGIBILITY
For the points tested stream
- No sponsor or nominator is required.
- Invitation to apply is necessary.
- Invitations are extended to individuals under the age of 45.
For the New Zealand Stream
- Holding a New Zealand Special Category (subclass 444) visa is mandatory.
- Residency in Australia for a minimum of 5 consecutive years is required.
- Commencement of residency in Australia must have been on or before 19 February 2016.
What can you do
- Reside in Australia for the duration corresponding to the approved activities on this visa.
- Engage in the work or activities specified in your application.
- Enjoy unrestricted entries and exits from Australia throughout the validity of your visa.
- If eligible, apply for Australian citizenship.
- Sponsor eligible relatives for permanent residency.
